Back-up to FTP/SFTP
With Backup4all Professional you can back-up to FTP/SFTP remote locations.
This way you can keep an online backup of your data to a remote location (supports SSL, active/passive transfer modes, firewall rules). If you need FTP/SFTP destinations you can try Backup4all Professional free for 30 days.
AES Encryption
You can protect your ZIP files by setting a password for each backup job.
Besides normal password protection, Backup4all also supports 128-bit, 192-bit and 256-bit AES encryption. These numbers reflect the encryption key size used to encrypt the data - a higher key strenght provides stronger encryption.
Incremental backup type
Backup4all Professional supports two more backup types, incremental and differential. Using the incremental backup type you can back-up only the files that changed since the last backup.
The advantage of an incremental backup is that it takes the least time to complete since you back up only increments of data.
Extra Views: Backup, Statistics
Using the Statistics view you can actually see the number of files that will be processed at next backup, size and date of backups and available free space in the destination.
The Backup view lets you see exactly what files have been backed up, gives you a way to browse through the backed up files and see backup versions.
Command Line Version
Backup4all can be started with various command line parameters too. This way you can run different actions using parameters, such as performing backups for a job/group (or forcing the execution), running tests, clean/clear actions, run the application minimized to tray or run the backup configured for the One Touch Backup button.
Backup Versioning
With Backup4all you can have different versions saved for a single file (or folder).
This is very useful as once backed up, you can choose the version of files which will be restored and filter them to restore only the needed versions (file versioning applies to full, differential and incremental backups only).
Email Notifications
You can configure Backup4all to send custom emails after a backup finished with success, error and warning notifications.
Additional options allow you to attach the backup log file and send the email to several addresses. This is very useful if you want to be notified remotely about the status of finished backups.
Microsoft Outlook Backup
Backup4all has a plugin that allows you to define a backup job for Microsoft Outlook data (emails and settings).
Because of its open file backup support there's no need to close Outlook during backup. You can easily restore Outlook data anytime, for example in case your Outlook profile becomes corrupt.
