Slow backup

I have about 868GB in approx. 504,000 files. Since upgrading to fbackup 6, the backup process is estimated to take some 35 hours (it actually took about 21 hours) with full backup and takes some 12 hours with mirror. Also, when using full backup, the disk space used when completed seems to be comparable to the disk space used for my mirror backup.

I have unchecked "Smart file scanning mode", but perhaps there is another setting(s) I'm not seeing.

Thank you for your help.

Paul

Hi,

Full and Mirror backup different backup types.
If you change the backup type from Full to Mirror, the local backup catalog is deleted (the backup in destination remains) and a new backup is created in destination.
At this moment, it seems you have 2 independent backups in destination: a full and a mirror.

You should use only the Mirror backup type. Next time you run the backup, only new and modified files will be backed up.
