turn off post backup "testing" feature

vERSION 4.3/167 Excellant program -very reliable!

How can I turn off the testing feature after a backup has run?
when backing up my entire hd (very large file) It doubles the run time.
The HDbackup(done weekly) took 4 hours to do then 4 hours to test!
(not a problem on smaller selective backups )

I've found 4.3 to be highly reliable on restore & would want to turn this feature on
periodically to ensure it test OK but not every time.

Can't see a check off option in any tab but maybe its called something else?

Hi,

In Backup Properties->Advanced page, you can uncheck the "Test after backup" option.
You can also install the latest version of FBackup 5.3

Thanks however there isn't the option available on the advanced page.
(see attachment) It seems to happen on some Backups but not others?
is it automatic ?

Perhaps you are thinking of a feature on the v5 advanced tab?

i am apprehensive of upgrading to 5 as I have many older backups that I might need
and don't want to chance any upgrade compatibility issues. sticking with what works.
i've been burned before on upgrading.

Hi,

That option is available in FBackup 5. We do not support version 4 anymore.
