I've seen a couple of references in Help to the use of Groups (I assume to group jobs so they can all be run at once). How do I set up a Group?

Hi,
You have only one group in FBackup, called "My Backup Jobs" group. All backup jobs are included in this group.

If you want to back up the entire group, please right-click the FBackup icon in tray and choose Backup Group.
