Hi, Just downloaded your app yesterday. I created a backup of selected files on the C: drive prior to a reformat and installation of a newer version of windows(7 64 bit) (previously on Vista 32 bit). Prior to the reformat, I moved the ("New Backup")backup folder and the ("New Backup.fkc") file from the C: drive where I originally backed up to,to an external HD. After the new installation moved the folder and .fkc file back to the C drive. Tried restoring several times but no success. Then I selected (accidentally) Backup instead of restore on my next attempt:

Hi,
Was the backup successful? Can you test 1_C.zip file using WinZip?

I thought so - no errors when created, however can't open file with winzip. Any suggestions to recover some of the important files would be appreciated - thanks

Hi,
Did you used the latest version of WinZip ?
Can you give us access to your computer using TeamViewer?

Hello,

I seem to have the same problem as desribed above. The error Fbackup provides me when I try to restore the backup is noted below.

The program cannot find 3_C.zip. But there are several 3_C.z0 - 3_C.z12 files in that folder.

Can you help me to fix this problem?

Hi,

Why is the 3_C.zip file missing? was it manually deleted/moved?
If that file does not exist, you cannot restore the backup.

Hi,

Sorry for my late response. Yes that files is missing, but I have no memory (at least not conscious) of deleting that file. Is there still a possibility to recover my data? I have tried a lot of things, but still without success.

Regards,

Thomas

Hi,

If the backup file is missing, you cannot get the backup from another place.
