Use files on destination backup computer

Postby gnlaz » Wed Feb 26, 2014 4:24 am

I have backed up my files from Computer A, across a home network to Computer B hard drive. I would like to use the backed up files on computer B, since Computer A is down. But i can not see, or restore them on Computer B. Is this possible ?? When i try to open the backed up files, i get an error message. How do i see them or use them ?

Hi,

You need to install FBackup on Computer B, then open the .fkc catalog file from the backup destination.
The backup job will be recreated in FBackup.
Run the restore and indicate where you want the files to be restored.

Another solution is to manually extract the files using WinZip.
