.fkc files point to where?

Postby Soupguy » Wed Nov 30, 2016 7:25 pm

On my destination external drive double or right click does not open / launch FBackup. Instead it opens "Windows can’t open this file box with the option to select a program from a list of installed programs bla, bla, bla". Which of the 17 applications located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Softland\FBackup 6" should I point to in order to open a .fkc file? The applications listed at path are...
bBackup
bImportSched
bSchedStarter
bService
bSettings
bShutdown
bServCtrl
bStatistics
b Test
b Tray
FBackup
VscSrv
VscSrv2003
VscSrv2003x64
VscSrv2008
VscSrv2008x64
AES.DLL
bContextMenuDLL.Win32.dll
bContextMenuDLL.Win64.dll
libeay32.dll
MessageFile.dll
Sqlite3.dll
Ssleay32.dll

I also have all four inbound rules for FBackup disabled in my firewall but don’t see why that would have anything to do with this. Years ago I had recovered my system to a more than a year old image which contained FBackup but did not have the backup plan in the program. At that time I simply double clicked the .fkc file on my destination drive, FBackup launched and loaded the plan. I was able to continue on forward with updating the backup without having to start from scratch and re-burn the whole thing all over again. That was the only time .fkc has ever worked for me. Since then no luck. Every time I recover my system to a prior image I must create and burn new mirror backups from scratch - which is a great big ole bummer.

Hi,

Please use "FBackup" application from that list, to open the .fkc files.
