10 jobs are active

Post by darkclaw »

Hello,

After I updated to version 6.3.278, if I put mouse cursor on fbackup icon in tray, it says "10 jobs are active", even if all jobs are stopped.

I noticed there are a lot (more than 30) of bBackup.exe processes running in background eating my memory. Scheduler is working as intended.

Is this a bug?

Thanks.

Hi,

A "bbackup.exe" process is used for each backup in progress.
Are you sure there are not backups running in background?

Yes, I am sure.

I have been killing these processes for a week.

If I let them running, eventually my server runs out of memory.

Are the log files completed for those jobs?
Please send us few log files to info[at]fbackup[dot]com.

Hello,

I have just sent you some logs.

One thing I noticed is that at the very end of the log there is this line:
Ipc warning: Unregister failed : Timeout waiting for a reply to imtUnregister 0

Just replying here so others can see.

I added both bservice.exe and bbackup.exe to antivirus and firewall exclusion list, but it didn't work.

Right now I have 37 bbackup.exe processes running on background.

Yes, it is. Take a look at the screenshot.

I clicked at "Running" in the left menu and took the screenshot.
