Giveaway - 50 licenses for Backup4all Pro

We are organizing a giveaway, where 50 licenses for Backup4all Professional (total value of $2500) will be given to 50 users. All you have to do is create a video tutorial about FBackup and upload it to Youtube - there is no drawing so as long as there are licenses left from those 50, you will receive one too. Here are the details: Backup4all Giveaway.

Is there an addon to backup Windows Live Mail? Where Does anyone know what the directory structure is that Windows Live uses. From what I have been able to see Live uses different directories than Outlook, and I would like to not miss any that may not be named obviously.

    thanks Tony

At this moment, there is not a plugin for Windows Live Mail.
We added your plugin request to our wishlist.

Seeing as windows live seems to have replaced Outlook express. Do you have any idea when you will turn this from a wish into reality?

    Hi,

Yes, we will create a plugin for that. I cannot tell you exactly when it will be available.

One widely unknown feature of Outlook Express and the Windows Live Mail client is how easy it is to backup your mail locally.

    Hi,

Keeping your backups locally is not recommended as in case the local computer crashes, your data files will be lost.

    Hi admin,

seeing that your last comment is 4 month old - could give us an update?
Will there be a Windows Live Mail plugin available within the next few weeks?
    Thanks.

So nine months after i asked the original question about being able to separately backup Windows Live Mail there still is nothing available. Babies are made in the same amount of time and they are much more complicated. I have had a hard drive failure since I originally made the request. I was unable to restore my LIVE mail properly.

IF you can tell me what directories etc that has to be backed up I really would appreciate it as yet I am unable to find this info myself and I don't want to lose my saved LIVE email info again..

    Hi,

Seems the link above is not working. I'm aware that Windows Live Mail doesn't provide an easy way to access email accounts, address book or emails. But there are couple decent APIs available, like oeapi.com or nektra.com. You can probably use it to create a backup plugin for Windows Live Mail.
