We are organizing a giveaway, where 50 licenses for Backup4all Professional (total value of $2500) will be given to 50 users. All you have to do is create a video tutorial about FBackup and upload it to Youtube - there is no drawing so as long as there are licenses left from those 50, you will receive one too. Here are the details: Backup4all Giveaway.

Why does FBackup automatically create a container?

    Not realising that FBackup would automatically create a backup container, I created a new folder called My Stuff on my drive. But after running the first backup job and checking the folder, I realised that FBackup had automatically created another backup container called E inside the My Stuff folder! This means that to access my files, I would have to click L for the drive, then the folder called My Stuff, then the folder that FBackup created called E, then each individiual backup folder!

    So I wanted to be able to move the backup folders from the My Stuff folder into the main "E" container - but if I did, FBackup would delete promptly them and I would have to start all over again!

    Why does FBackup insist on automatically creating a main container folder anyway - especially as the .fkc files are not even placed inside it? Why can't My Documents, My Pictures etc simply be put in separate folders called My Documents, My Pictures etc on my drive?

    Hi,

    Please open Backup Properties->Mirror.
    Uncheck the "Create full paths" option.
    Press Save and run again the backup.

    Wow, thank you so much for your prompt reply! With the containers the program was great - but now that I know how to stop it creating drive letter containers it's absolutely fantastic! In fact, it's so much better than Windows backup that I will heartily recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you so much for releasing it as a free download. Shereen
