    What is the function of Desktop.ini in My Documents Plugin?

    I was doing some testing on my FBackup jobs, just to see exactly what each one would, and would not restore.

    I saw Desktop.ini inside My Documents Backup Plugin, so I deleted a desktop shortcut to see if FBackup would restore it. It did not.

    So I'd like to find out just what the function of desktop.ini is for.

    Hi,

    You can ask Microsoft for details about the usage of desktop.ini file.
    If you want to find why that file was not restored, please send us to info[at]fbackup[dot]com:
    - the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log.
    - the last restore log from View->Job Logs->Last restore log.

    FBackup DID restore the file "desktop.ini".

    It did not restore my desktop shortcut icon. That is why I was wondering what the function of that ini file was.
