Re: Windows 7 shadow service Supported?

I uninstalled everything, purged the registry of all things softland and went on to delete the uncleaned files and cleaned up the Task directory used by the scheduler.

I downloaded the final code 5.2.631 and reinstalled.

Fbackup now seems to generate the shadow files correctly.

Re: Backup job doesn't fail but does nothing

I have a similar problem running on Windows 7 Home Premium. I see these two lines near the beginning of the log but the backup seems to work. Windows 7 shadow service Supported?

Backup fails to backup open files, log indicates that windows volume shadow copy not available.
I have found posts indicating that this feature only works in Windows XP and lower.
What is the situation?
Does fbackup 5 support open file backup in Windows 7 - 8 ?

Re: How do you automatically delete backups older than XX days?

This suggestion can get you closer (7-days):
Assuming that you are doing full backups.
Create a separate backup job for each day of the week storing the backups in different folders.
Schedule each to run weekly.
This creates a rolling 7 day backup.
