Thanks however there isn't the option available on the advanced page. (see attachment) It seems to happen on some Backups but not others? is it automatic ? Perhaps you are thinking of a feature on the v5 advanced tab? i am apprehensive of upgrading to 5 as I have many older backups that I might need...

vERSION 4.3/167 Excellant program -very reliable! How can I turn off the testing feature after a backup has run? when backing up my entire hd (very large file) It doubles the run time.
