re: UGH! Mirror backup deletes backup if source drive failed

Softland wrote in the other, original forum, 'No other client complained about that behavior until now.' I am complaining. Softland's design seems grossly defective: the product seems hazardous. Softland is defending its design decision to undo the backup precisely when the source has failed or disa...

re:mirror backup folder omits any hint of connection to FBackup

to other users: So if you do a Mirror backup and select Create Full Path (which has various positives), then in order to find the FBackup destination-folder you need to know that the name omits any hint of a connection to FBackup or to the name of the FBackup backup-job. to Softland: There is no nee...

re:mirror backup folder omits any hint of connection to FBackup?

Yes, maybe; there are various folders containing various backups on the destination drive, but i'm trying to figure out if any is associated with FBackup. re:mirror backup folder omits any hint of connection to FBackup?

Softland, i think that what you wrote below might not be right; i think that there is not, and should not be, a folder on my external disk with the name of the backup job, as you wrote below. Instead, because my full Mirror backup selected Create Full Path, therefore my backup is on the external dis...

re:mirror backup folder omits any hint of connection to FBackup?

Thanks for that. But: As mentioned, i had made a maximally simple backup: full, Mirror backup. Yet there is no folder on my external disk with the name of the backup job. Thanks in advance for any insights. details: - I am viewing all hidden files and items. - I see the .fkc file. - The FBackup (4.8...

mirror backup can't be viewed-inside with Windows Explorer?

I made a maximally simple backup: full, mirror; no compression; no zipping; no password; no encryption. I see the resulting .fkc file on my external disk. When i click on such file, FBackup opens. But i can't view inside such file with Windows Explorer, which maybe contradicts the built-in Help text...
