Pre October update backup worked on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to a network drive. Once you install the Oct. update and than run the backup program you will see FBackup 'not responding" in the title bar.

October version installed 1st time on different computer results in same error message.

Hi,

If you use the Mirror type, only new and modified files will be backed up.
Please send us the backup log and the catalog to info[at]fbackup[dot]com
To find these files, go to:
- View->Open Folder->Catalog folder
- View->Job Logs->Last backup log.
Please put the files into a zip archive.

Hello !

I'm new user, i just used two time FBackup 4 and find it very useful. When I save files in mirror mode, I see that all files are copied even if I edited only few of them since the last backup. I have lots of data and I need 30min to backup everything, it would be easier and shorter for me to backup only files that have changed since the last backup (I have to do this backup three time each day). How can I do this ? thank you per advance, sincerely.

Your current method of applying updates require user initiation and interaction. I haven't considered the pros and cons for this but perhaps using the Microsoft Windows's Update approach would make sense. The Admin could specify to automatically download updates and optionally automatically install the updates. If the install is done automatically, it should be a silent/invisible install with no user interaction.

If we take it 1 step further, it would be nice to specify in the program settings as an option to check a local network share for updates. This way the administrator can download the update only once and put it in a local share on the network.

Regards
Pierre

FBackup was updated to 4.1.135, but this new build only contains a small fix: When restoring a selective file to another location, the entire original file path was added, now that's corrected.
