Hi,

You don't need to create multiple topics for the same problem.
There is no Logs option in Tools->Options menu.

Can you give us access to your computer using TeamViewer to see exactly what the problem is?
Send us the ID and password to info[at]fbackup[dot]com.

According to page 26 of the FBackup User Manual (PDF file 2009) under the TOOLS > OPTIONS menu there should be a LOGS and history config window. I only see:

GENERAL

STARTUP

UPDATES

under the OPTIONS menu.

Is this a recent change or am I doing something wrong? I am looking into this because FBackup is over writing previous logs when it does a backup, so I only have the log for the last backup. The APPLICATIONS log keeps a running summary of all logs, but I got the impression each daily log should be available as well. Is this true?

Thanx.

Hi,

You cannot disable the log files. The options to limit the size of the log is available only in our commercial edition: Backup4all.

Hi,

You cannot do that in FBackup. The commercial version (Backup4all) include such a feature and the user can select the application to be used when opening log files.

Hi,

FBackup does not have such an option. You can have this option if you use a commercial backup application as Backup4all.

This may have been covered and I apologise if it has.. My logfile is typically 100mb. I really only need to see what Fbackup didn't backup. Is there a way to reduce this file size. I currently scan the file for errors and warnings, normally about 60, but this takes time and some search and extract programs won't handle files this size. Otherwise very the program has worked very well for full backups every day 47GB compresses to 26GB.
Regards to all.
