No, I could not copy a file from PC 2 to PC 1. Thanks for the clue. After finally figuring out the permissions for the drive/folder I wanted to use and was able then to copy a file from PC 2 to PC 1, Fbackup completed backups successfully. Many thanks for the help.

Hi,

Can you manually copy a file from PC 2 to the shared USB drive on PC 1?

I have two Windows 7 pcs. PC 1 has a USB drive used for backups. On PC 2, I'm trying to get FBackup to backup to the USB drive on PC 1. Each time I try a test backup, I get an abort - permission denied. I have shared the USB drive and folders. Also have used PC 1 user name and password in the FBackup settings. Still fails. Any suggestions to resolve is greaty appriciated. Thanks Ron.

I figured this one out. Although the backup i50 GB and the disk is 1 TB, I discovered that the disk space was too low. I cleaned up the drive and - voila! - I am back in business!

The backups have been working well for weeks. All of a sudden I get the message:
[9/15/2011 3:57:41 PM] Error: Backup aborted. Reason:
Cannot add file "C:\Users\SEFreeze\Desktop\Wallpaper\HPIM0144.JPG" to "G:\C-Backup\Backup C\1_C.zip".
Zip error: G:\C-Backup\Backup C\KPZF1E1.tmp
Backup aborted at 9/15/2011 3:57:42 PM with 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
Any ideas as to why this may have occurred?? I fails on both types of run: Scheduled and Manual.
