Hi,

You should use the Full backup type as it will copy all files and put them into a zip archive.

What type of backup should I use to backup a portable application (Thunderbird)?
Source: Folder containing Thunderbird Portable application
Destination: External HD

I need the backup to copy all the files in the source folder even if they existed in the previous backup, i.e. even if they have been updated.

Many thanks

Epithet

p.s. To test the backup I'd want to run the email program from the external HD. If I manually copy the folder to the external drive this works fine, but isn't automated, so I'm trying to use FBackup.

Hi,

Please go to C:/Users/"Current user"/AppData/Roaming/Softland/FBackup 4
and delete the "Layout.ini" file.
Open FBackup and see if you still have the problem.

Hi,

On Vista, I just upgraded to 4.2.153 and now get the application appear in the Taskbar, but I am unable to resize the window. It seems like the application starts minimized, but there is nothing on the screen when I switch to the application or when I startup the application.
From the Right Click options I can't 'restore' as this is greyed out. Minimize appears to do nothing either.

Just to be clear, the application appears in the Task Manager as 'running' and as 2 processes.

How do I check what's going on? What's the best next step?

Thanks

Epithet
p.s. Application is being 'Run as Administrator'

Please try again to download FBackup. If you still have the problem, delete the Temporary Internet Files and try again.

Hello

I have just downloaded FBackup but when I click on the .exe file I receive a prompt asking me to specify an application to run it. When I go through explorer it says its not a valid Win32 file.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
