Same Source (Multi Destination)

Post by Pemtium »

We are testing Fbackup (of course to use Backup4All Registered)

we use cobian we are looking into 2 particular feature:

1. Google Drive Backup

2. Possibility to do a backup and send to 2 location (1 Source - 2 Destination)
ej: Backup 1 Folder and send 1 backup to Local Disk and a Second to FTP or Cloud Google)

3. Backup should only keep N qty of backup
ej: just the last 5 Backup.

i know i could create 2 task, but ZIP for 100,000 Files is slow (all are changed daily)

Also any idea Suggestion how to do this?

Also Speed Compression is same in fbackup and Backup4all?

Thank in Advanced

Hi,

You cannot define 2 backup destinations for a single job, but you can create a full backup job locally and another mirror backup job to Google Drive/FTP.
The second backup job will back up the first backup files (already compressed) from the first backup destination.

Hi Softland, can I bother you for a bit more detailed explanation on how to set this up? I want to do it as well and I wasn't able to get it to work. I must be missing something.

Hi,

Please use two backup jobs:
1. The first backup job will back up your source files to local folder, for example D:\Backup destination.
The backup type will be Full.
2. The second backup job will back up the files from the first backup to a Google Drive destination. Backup type will be Mirror.
Source: D:\Backup destination
Destination: Google Drive

The backups will be executed one after the other.
